Terms of Use

Last updated: September 6, 2026

Welcome to MindfulPractice. These terms are the agreement between you and Psych Life, Inc. Please read them; they are short on purpose.

1. What MindfulPractice is

MindfulPractice is a self-help and wellness app. It offers guided exercises drawn from cognitive behavioral and acceptance-based approaches, along with brief grounding and body-awareness practices.

2. What MindfulPractice is not

It is not therapy, not medical care, not a diagnosis, and not a substitute for any of them. Using this app does not create a counselor-client relationship with Juan Carlos Martell or with Psych Life, Inc. Juan is a licensed mental health counselor and that is his recorded voice, but he is not your counselor here, and people who use this app are not clients of his private practice. Nothing in the app is personal clinical advice or a treatment plan.

3. This app is for adults

You must be 18 or older to create an account or use the app.

4. Emergencies

MindfulPractice is not a crisis service and no one monitors what you write. If you are thinking about hurting yourself or you feel unsafe, call or text 988, or call 911. If you are in immediate danger, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.

5. Your account

Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us if you think someone else has access to it.

6. What you write

What you enter is yours. You give Psych Life, Inc. permission to store it and to process it so the app can work, including sending some of your text to an outside AI service as described in the Privacy Policy. Please do not enter anything you would not want stored, and please do not write identifying details about other people.

7. Using the app sensibly

Do not use MindfulPractice to replace care your doctor or therapist has recommended. Do not use it to make decisions that need professional judgment. If your symptoms are getting worse, please talk to a person.

8. No guarantees

The exercises are offered in good faith and are grounded in established approaches, but we cannot promise any particular result. How you respond is individual.

9. Ending your use

You can delete your account and your entries from inside the app at any time. We may suspend an account that is being used to harm someone.

10. Limits of liability

To the extent the law allows, Psych Life, Inc. is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

11. Changes

If these terms change materially, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
